PRIVATE, INDIVIDUAL CLASSES
	Beginning Woodwork One of the great things we get to do here is share the knowledge of woodworking so, if you have always wanted to try woodworking but didn't know where to begin, this may be the path for you. I teach hands-on sessions, customized to your specific needs. Your current knowledge, abilities and goals are combined with practical, achievable projects to help you develop your woodworking skills. The focus is on basic or beginner woodworking. You will be the only student in your session, so you will have full run of the workshop and all of my attention. Using a predetermined project, such as the creation of a small table, we will cover a variety of topics such as how to properly use hand and power tools, how to mill rough lumber, properties of wood and basic design, joinery such as mortise and tenon, and finishing which will include staining and clear coating. The schedule and length of each session are mutually arranged with the instructor. A minimum of 4 hours is required at registration. Any one session is a minimum of two hours and a maximum of 4 hours unless approved by instructor.
