DRESSING ROOM CONFESSIONS by Leah Farquharson

If I see a layout that someone else has done, I first sit down, and sketch out the idea – I find that I’ll automatically make certain small changes that suit my taste and style {and essentially make the design more “my own”}. After sketching out the idea, I set to work creating the project or layout. Nine times out of ten, my layout ends up looking nothing like the original that inspired it. Little bits and pieces may remind me of the original layout, but I don’t in any way feel that I’ve “copied” that person’s work. I’ve simply used it as a starting point, for inspiration! I just had to scrapbook several photos I took this past weekend while out shopping. My husband had a few days off and I decided to take the time to update my wardrobe. It reminded me of something that I already knew – I hate the process of shopping. The choosing of pieces to make outfits, and the trying on of all the clothing. If fits, it doesn’t fit, I try five different sizes. It costs HOW much? I tied to find some humor along the way… These are a few outtakes of shots from that experience (and YES. My sister is my best shopping buddy from 1500 miles away. I text her photos from the dressing room and she gives me a thumbs up or down!)
